St. Louis Armed Security Training and Qualifications
New security personnel will need to attend an Initial Arming Class BEFORE getting armed license
After Initial Arming Class, Officers are required to qualify every 6 months
INITIAL ARMING
SEMI-AUTO PISTOL – 3rd Wednesday (8:00am-4:00pm) AND Thursday (8:00am-4:00pm) of every month (2 day class). Doors open at 7:30am.
16 hour class - $205 – 300 rounds of Ammunition NOT INCLUDED
REVOLVER – 2nd or 4th Wednesday (8:00am-4:00pm) of every month. Doors open at 7:30am.
8 hour class - $95 – 50 rounds of ammunition INCLUDED
Required Items:
Approved Duty Weapon (see requirements below)
Belt, Strong Side Holster, 3 Magazines or Speed-Loaders (if applicable)

ANNUAL / SEMI-ANNUAL QUALIFICATIONS
SEMI-AUTO AND REVOLVER Qualifications held together – MON, TUES, THUR, FRI at 9:00AM. Doors open at 8:30am
2 hour class - $45 – 50 rounds of ammunition INCLUDED
Doors open at 8:30AM and close PROMPTLY at 9:00.
**We offer one evening qualification class per week on TUES at 6:00PM**
**YOU CANNOT SHOOT TWO QUALS IN ONE DAY**
FIREARM REQUIREMENTS:
NO DE-COCKERS or MANUAL SAFETIES
NO SUB COMPACTS (This includes a Taurus Millenium)
SEMI-AUTO PISTOL:
Caliber - 9mm or .40
Manufacturer - Beretta, Glock, Ruger, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, FN, H&K, Walther, Canik, Taurus
Action - Striker-fire or double action
Size - Full size or compact
3 Magazines / Magazine Pouch
REVOLVER:
Caliber - .38 Special
Action - Double action
Size – 4” Barrel

All officers MUST report the make, model, barrel length and serial number of the firearm he/she will utilize on duty. Inspection and approval of the firearm must be completed BEFORE carrying on duty. This registration to be provided to the Private Security Coordinator (PSC) on the date of the Initial Arming Class or Qualifications by SharpShooters Staff.
Officer may change duty weapons only AFTER the new firearm is inspected and the required information is supplied to the PSC. Qualification required prior to carry on duty.
NO LOADED FIREARMS AT THE COUNTER OR LOBBY. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE CLEAR WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING!!
